Crema's Take

The Common Cup wins over even the most discerning coffee lovers with genuinely excellent pour overs and creative signature drinks like their lavender white chocolate latte and golden milk that go far beyond the typical café menu. With generous seating, reliable wifi, and a genuinely warm staff, it's become Ann Arbor's beloved gathering spot where you're equally welcome to linger with a friend, settle in with your laptop, or bring the whole family for fresh pastries and quality coffee that actually lives up to the hype.

They had high quality coffee. I had a pour over and my daughter had a vanilla latte. They had a lot of seating.

In my opinion the best coffee shop in Ann Arbor! The staff are SO sweet and the coffee is really good! (I am a coffee snob so I am very particular about my coffee). I love going there to catch up with friends and even study! there's a lot of space and its easy to park your car there, unlike other areas in Ann Arbor! I highly recommend.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Ann Arbor. I am going to miss it so much! I loved the lavender white chocolate latte here! Also the golden milk and cafe miel were really delicious too. They also host fun events periodically and introduce tasty seasonal drinks! I wrote much of my PhD thesis here, although it can get pretty loud during peak hours because it is a lovely hangout spot.

Great coffee & nice atmosphere. Kind staff & patrons! Loved our visits here! Our kids enjoyed it, too.

I love the common cup! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, plus great drinks and pastries! It’s a wonderful place to spend an afternoon working or reading. The space can be a bit noisy sometimes but it doesn’t bother me at all. A side note: they do charge an extra 25¢ for takeout cups so BYO coffee cups if you are on-the-go (I actually appreciate this policy cuz it encourages environmental consciousness!)
