Built & Brewed In Detroit Coffee Bar (Inside Michigan First Credit Union)
27000 Evergreen Rd, Ferndale, MI
Crema's Take
“Tucked inside Michigan First Credit Union, this charming coffee bar punches above its weight with genuinely welcoming baristas and a cozy atmosphere that transforms a bank corner into a legitimate community gathering spot. The seasonal and specialty drinks are crafted with care, and the limited but thoughtful pastry selection pairs perfectly for a quick morning visit or a longer catch-up with friends. It's that delightful kind of hidden gem where you get the warmth of a neighborhood café alongside the convenience of a financial institution—a uniquely Detroit kind of experience.”

What a hidden gem! This coffee shop tucked inside the bank is such a pleasant surprise. The customer service is top tier, the barista is genuinely kind and welcoming. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was incredible. The pumpkin flavor is actually made in house with real pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice, which makes all the difference. The prices are so affordable compared to other coffee shops, and they also have a nice selection of pastries that looked delicious, though I didn’t try any this time. I really appreciated that they don’t have the automatic tip button like most places, it makes the experience feel much more genuine. They do have a small basket for cash tips, which I thought was a nice touch. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. I’m from Illinois, but if I’m ever back in Southfield, I’ll absolutely come here again!
Visited this small corner coffee place situated inside Credit Union in Southfield MI (formerly known as The Teacher's Credit Union). They serve a limited amount of bake goods and limited variety. Coffee plain weak and bland. This place is not a coffee officiated. However, it is ok for a " quick grab and go out the door!"
Just tried to get coffee. Stood there for a few minutes while 3 employees stared at their phones and just glanced at me. Left without being served.
Me and my son went there for the first time today coffee had an amazing taste but was not hot. Almost just warm which was a little disappointing on a cold day
Great place to grab a wakeup of sunshine and a meal for the morning hunger while doing some financial stuff
