Dwntwn Grocer & Cafe

After reading the positive Google Maps reviews and looking for a cafe that opened early and was dine in, I checked this cafe out. I had an enjoyable experience, a good Maple 🍁 Latte and Almond Danish, window 🪟 view 🙈 and great 👍 conversation with the owners about the history of Portsmouth. I learned they opened in August of this year, they own or owned BRGR Bar 🍺, which has great shakes, wanted to be different from other cafes by offering a quick stop 🛑 grocery and tap, no bar 🍻 puns intended, into the hotels🏨 nextdoor. Quiet music 🎵 played, WiFi and charging ports available. The Almond Danish was messy and ended up on my pants 👖, 🎵 let's sing the praises of pants! 🎵 and you can read how not upset I was by it. The powdered sugar just brushed off and I was good 👍 to go! Chocolate croissant 🥐 had a lot of chocolate! Quick service on an egg 🥚 breakfast sandwich someone ordered to go. I recommend a visit.

Super convenient place downtown to grab something quickly or sit down and have something prepared. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and they were able to accommodate a larger order for our team meeting at the last minute. The convenience of a NYC deli but with an elevated presentation. Love this place!

This is the New Coffee shop in Portsmouth! Check it out! Good Coffee! The owner so kind! And also they have pastries, snack and liquor! Good Price!

It was a pleasure to dine in at the dwntwn grocer + cafe!! I had a sausage, egg, cheese and veggies sandwich and it was the best I’ve ever tasted! Also, the blueberry muffins melt in your mouth with fresh juicy blueberries and very tasty ingredients.

Love this new (much needed!) addition to downtown Portsmouth and Portwalk Place! Delicious coffee, pastries, sandwiches and lots of grab and go options. 10/10 👏
