Crema's Take
“Slow Day is a thoughtful Seattle institution for specialty coffee lovers, offering an impressive rotating selection from notable roasters alongside meticulously prepared pour overs and espresso drinks that showcase the beans' nuance. The shop has earned devoted fans for its fair pricing, attentive baristas, and willingness to break from typical cafe trends, though some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies with customizations like milk substitutes. If you're seeking a place that treats coffee seriously without pretension, this is where Seattle's coffee nerds gather.”

bought matcha latte here and they said that the oat milk is included in the price. but i saw the barista pouring whole milk. also ordered ceremonial matcha which is only $8, but i was billed $9.93. the barista billed me incorrectly (but my fault too for not realizing it when i went there)
The best coffee in Seattle. Finally a shop that isn't stuck in the 90s! Great selection from a variety of notable roasters. Very fair prices and attentive baristas. This is THE cafe to vist if you're curious about what very carefully grown and prepared coffee taste like when brewed to its full potential. It's also the only place in town to pick up bags of beans from some of the best sources out there.
I got the super ceremonial matcha (first harvest matcha) with their house vanilla syrup. It was good with more vegetal notes. The price point was high, 8oz for $9 but could justify it with the quality. They also don’t charge for alt milk. The interior was cute but only has room for two ppl to sit, more of a grab and go place.
Slow Day is the newest iteration of Cedar and Spokes, for the OG downtown coffee nerds. They used to roast beans in house on Western, and when visited recentlyI was sad and shocked to see them closed. But lo and behold, Slow Day is here! Delicious coffee, great menu (the size options for "espresso and milk" is such a smart way to explain various drinks. Only ever saw that in Copenhagen and love its simplicity). Great and friendly service. Highly recommend. Also love that they are now a multiroaster and feature beans from all over. Very fun
If you are a hardcore specialty coffee drinker, then you need to check this place out. They have a large variety of beans for pour over/espresso based drinks. Tried an Ethiopian espresso that was smooth, fruity and sweet! The pour over was amazing as well!
