Cruisin Coffee Alabama
800 Alabama St, Bellingham, WA
Crema's Take
“Cruisin Coffee Alabama in Bellingham has built a devoted following for their consistently excellent espresso drinks and genuinely warm barista service, though pricing runs a bit steep for the casual grab-and-go crowd. The drive-thru setup makes it convenient for families and commuters, and they balance traditional coffee craftsmanship with fun specialty creations like their iced s'mores mocha—though quality can be inconsistent across their locations. Most customers rave about the personable staff and reliable execution, though you'll want to manage expectations on value and be prepared for occasional service hiccups during busy windows.”

I hate leaving bad reviews but I was rly frustrated with my experience here. I came for a little pick-me-up on a bad day. Absolutely no clue how a small dirty chai and a bagel sandwich cost $18. My order came out very quickly, but I was barely greeted, no smiles, cold demeanor, my order was just okay. The my sandwhich wasn’t good, the chai was watery, absolutely none of it was worth the price. I’m not usually a stickler for over the top friendly service, but I really didn’t feel welcomed. I was quite disappointed. I hope to come back some day and have a better experience, made me sad.
I always have an amazing experience at this location my coffee is always perfect and all the baristas are always so sweet and personable. Today my barista had some blue tips in her hair and was training a new girl. They were both amazing but the girl with blue hair really made my day.
There is no other coffee place I believe, where the service is as magnificent as cruising coffee. They smile, and produce what you ask for, how you ask for it, and do anything possible to make things right. I am always tempted to tip them as much as the entire visit has cost and I usually do!
I tried Cruisin Coffee on Iowa for the first time a few weeks ago. It's not craft coffee but it was fine. Today I stopped at this location and got an iced s'mores mocha. Oof it was straight up bad. I don't know if there was a fault in the pulling process or if the beans were just improperly roasted to begin with. It was extremely bitter with a harsh mouth feel and left a strong burnt aftertaste. The flavored syrups weren't enough to mask it or save it and were strongly artificially flavored. Sucks to spend over $7 for something that is actively bad. That's how much I pay for craft coffee in Portland. Staff were sweet though. Just not a fan of the coffee.
I was allowed to put in our order and then by the time we finally got up to the window we were told we wouldn't be getting our drinks, because they had closed while we were waiting in line to get to the window to pay for our order. Not only will we not be returning, but we will make sure to tell all of our friends and family not only that live here locally but also all of our friends and family that come to visit us throughout the year from other parts of the US, not to go to Cruisin Coffee either, because they don't know how to properly treat customers!
