Coffee Cup Restaurant

Crema's Take
“Coffee Cup Restaurant is a Pensacola institution since 1945 where vintage diner charm meets genuine hospitality—the owner is often present, the hash browns are made from scratch, and their three kitchens hustle to get food out fast without sacrificing quality. It's the kind of place where you'll get greeted warmly at the door and feel like a regular whether you're grabbing a quick coffee at the counter or settling in for a slow breakfast with family, though fair warning: the old-school bones show their age and the vintage counter stools could use some TLC.”

Look first of all they need to clean up the place I know it's old and the owner has not spent money on redoing the place. The counter stools are cool and needs to be cleaned and redone the seats. It smells of old grease. The food is ok but the biscuit and gravy was like glue and taste less. The waitstaff was great. Just don't know how the place has stayed opened and not cleaned up the place. Just disappointed. And for a news article to come out and the place needs help. I just don't see why the newspaper said you need to go.
The hash is made from scratch, not out of a can. The owner was present. Very friendly and amazing dinner atmosphere
We were greeted at the door and had assistance to our table. Very friendly and patient personnel. The atmosphere was very inviting with quick and attentive service. I believe it was the owner who visited our table several times to offer suggestions to our meal and make certain that our food was good. The food was amazing. They serve breakfast all day. This is now one of my favorite places.
Long time favorite in Pensacola “Coffee Cup Restaurant” has been around since 1945. They have three kitchens that allow them to easily crank out the food quickly. The front kitchen (behind the counter) has the original griddle from 1945. 80 years worth of seasoning as of this year. Service is knowledgeable and always helpful. Jennifer is especially helpful and friendly. The biscuits are huge and fluffy. I always go for breakfast, but I understand they also serve lunch. I found the biscuit gravy, tasty, and the turkey Benedict delicious as well. Coffee is always fresh and if you sit at the counter, you get to watch them fix your breakfast right in front of your eyes. Plenty of parking behind the building and a handicap ramp in the back. Be sure and check out the vaulted ceiling in the mens room. I’ll definitely be going back, see you there. UrbanCowgill Aug 2025
Step back in time as you visit a Pensacola staple since 1945. It still has that old school flavor and still serves diner staples with a few twist of their own. It is very popular, and seating is limited, but the wait was not long. Apparently, everything on the menu is available at any time because when joked about getting their famous onion rings for breakfast, Jennifer, our server, said no problem. We didn't get the because we were trying quite a few breakfast items, but I will definitely be back to try them. Eggs prepared any way you want, with a variety of breakfast meats from bacon to chicken tenders to beef steak. The grits were creamy and seasoned well. The coffee is good and plentiful, and the pancakes are fluffy and cake like. It's not polished but perfect. Open breakfast and lunch only and closed on Tuesday. Make your way here for the best breakfast you are liable to have at a price you can't beat.
