Crema's Take

Hidden away in Newark, this all-vegan spot combines a genuinely lowkey, intimate atmosphere perfect for lingering conversations with some seriously impressive food that punches way above its weight—their Thursday pizza has earned cult status, and the house-made pastries and pancakes are equally memorable. What really sets it apart is the unhurried hospitality and the way everything from the brick city buff to their signature zucchini dishes leaves you energized rather than sluggish, making it feel less like a coffee shop pit stop and more like discovering a friend's kitchen.

Lowkey atmosphere with some good tasting vegan food. Had a nice quiet morning here with my partner and it was perfect.

Great food and the hospitality is unmatched. All vegan menu and the expansion to the muffins and cakes are really good. Make sure to call in to make sure certain items are available because they run out fast.

I am so happy I found this hidden gem. The food was delicious. I will definitely be back. I ordered the brick city buff and the zucchini pancakes with hash and it was soooo good. The prices may be a bit of a concern for some (for the brick city buff zucchini pancakes with hash and a slice of chocolate cake was $56), but we live in a country where it’s cheap to eat poorly and expensive to eat healthy so either pay to eat clean now or you’ll be paying for it in medical bills later.

Food is top notch. Compare it to anyplace anywhere in the world. I'm impressed. I saw Bimmy (QGTM) post a piece of cake and from this place and I said to myself, nahh, it can't be that good, so I pulled up, and I'm glad I did. If I can eat better, healthier this way without losing the flavor, I gotta keep coming back, and take notes so I can be around giving yall more reviews. Staff is super friendly, and the portions served are up to par. It's not a sit down restaurant where you make reservations so just pull up and park, and go order. Storefront establishments with street parking. Try not to double park out front, just find a spot and walk. Y'all enjoy. Mention my name when you go.
