Crema's Take

Cafe Java is a bustling neighborhood gem where the energy is as warm as the coffee, drawing crowds of all ages who linger over leisurely breakfasts and expertly crafted drinks like their standout teddy graham lattes and matcha beverages. The kitchen turns out fresh, generous plates—from full breakfasts to unexpected hits like ribeye platters—while servers like Josh move through the busy dining room with genuine attentiveness that makes you feel genuinely cared for. It's the kind of place that gets the balance right: crowded enough to feel loved, but run smoothly enough that you're never rushed.

Went on a late Friday morning and there was no wait for a table, but the place was very busy. The food was great and the servers very attentive. Great Atmosphere. This was our first trip to Austin, and we will be coming back next time we are here. 5 Stars.

Josh is amazing! He was our server and was so attentive and kind. We got the double shot teddy graham latte and strawberry matcha. Pretty solid drinks to wake us up. We also ordered the ribeye platter and split decision. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than enough to fill you up. Definitely coming back on my next trip to Austin.

We came for breakfast during rush hour on a Sunday, there was a lot of people but we were able to get seating quickly and get our food in a timely manner. Service was great everyone was really nice and the food was good too.

Delightful little place that seems to be very popular with crowds of all ages. We were seated fairly quickly despite the bustling crowd. We ordered the Italian veg. Omelet, vegetarian sandwich, some appetizers, and coffee. The food was served piping hot, and the portions were generous. Loved the sandwich , it was flavorful, and everything was fresh. The coffee, however, was lacking in taste and strength. Everything else otherwise including the staff , service, and atmosphere, was great. The lively atmosphere tends to get a bit noisy, but it lends to the overall joyful ambiance.
