Crema's Take

Larakin is a cozy Midtown spot where the real magic happens outdoors in a dog-friendly neighborhood gathering space that feels like catching up with friends at someone's backyard. Their agave lattes hit differently—smooth and balanced rather than acidic—and the staff genuinely care about making your visit comfortable, even rigging up umbrellas when the weather turns moody. Fair warning: their espresso can be hit-or-miss, but if you stick to their specialty milk drinks and come for the vibe rather than speed, you'll find a tight-knit community worth returning to.

Worst espresso ever… very acid . Most likely using the wrong coffee for espresso purpose. The service is terrible. When I told the employees that the espresso was undrinkable , I was told that it what it is, that they knew better. Even being told I was a douche …. That s a first . Ignorance and complete lack of customer care !!! Go across the street to Luccia, cheaper and much better coffee.

Got a latte with agave/ whole milk, 10/10 usually coffee is a bit acidic, But this one wasn’t. Kind employees , tight space inside but cozy feel to it.

They only have outdoor seating (there’s some bar seating that’s partially covered by the roof); when we went, it was about to storm — the staff were able to put up some umbrellas to cover our group. They have a good selection of wines, along with tinned fish and other small appetizers. The employees explained the different drinks and food choices well and provided recommendations. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but I imagine when the weather is nice outside and you’re with a group of friends, the atmosphere is unparalleled.

Have visited this cafe in Midtown recently. It has a decent enough vibe—cozy in some areas, though a bit hit-or-miss depending on where you sit. There’s potential, but a few things made the experience less enjoyable. For starters, there was an off-putting sewage smell that kept coming and going, which made it hard to really relax. I was hoping to get some work done, but the internet was both slow and spotty. I asked the staff about it, but they weren’t particularly helpful or interested in resolving it. I tried an iced matcha —it was okay, but nothing special, especially considering the prices, which felt a bit steep for what you get. Service overall was pretty underwhelming; it didn’t feel very welcoming. They are open late, which is a plus in an area where that’s not too common. But overall, it’s probably not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again.

LOVE the Vibe in this perfect outdoor space that fills with everyone in the neighborhood (pets included!). Such a delightful place to chill and catch up with friends. The service was exceptionally friendly. They even recommended a perfect vino to share between the four of us; it was Croatian! Epitet🍷. Utterly delicious and enjoyable.
