Aura Island Hookah Lounge & Cafe

Aura Island is my favorite hookah bar in Austin! I've been to places all around town and this is by far the best spot to hang out. The drinks are wonderful, ranging from quality espresso and tea to even smoothies. Really looking forward to the new food truck about to open too! The huge amount of parking they have is so convenient too. I appreciate how clean and new it is, it was just remodeled and all the seating is brand new- a very comfortable atmosphere. A huge variety of flavors to choose from for hookah, it's definitely a spot everyone will enjoy. Friendly staff and a great vibe.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and it’s honestly one of my favorite spots. The vibe is super chill and welcoming, and after a few visits it really starts to feel like family. The staff and regulars make it such an easy place to relax and hang out. They also make top-notch shisha hookahs, and you can really tell they care about quality. The café drinks are delicious too, and it’s a great environment whether you want to focus and study, play games with friends, or just socialize. I’ve spent evenings here doing work, catching up with people, or just enjoying the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a laid-back place with good energy, great hookah, and a real sense of community, this is definitely the spot. Love being part of the Island family.

Aura is wonderful for so many reasons. The atmosphere is super cozy, the interior was recently redone and it’s gorgeous. The seating is comfortable and plenty. Plus the lighting brings a nice setting where people can chill or even get some work done. I regularly bring my laptop to work and relax. They also do really fun events with djs and belly dancers! The service is nothing but top tier, the entire team is so thoughtful attentive, should out to Kareem, Shareef, Ender & more! They have all the flavors available but lately the spiced chai & peach lit has been my favorite! Would recommend any day if you’re looking for a good vibes all around hookah experience!

Visited Aura Island Hookah Lounge & Cafe and had an overall good experience. I tried the Paan–Lychee hookah flavor, and it was well-made, smooth, and enjoyable. The vibe of the place is really nice, and the seating is comfortable and spacious, making it a good spot to relax and unwind. While the hookah itself was good, the service felt a bit slow, which was slightly disappointing. Overall, a solid place for the ambience and hookah experience. With improved service, it could easily be even better.

Excellent service and very reasonable pricing. My only gripe is that they had a hookah flavor on the menu that wasn't available, but that's it.
