Crema's Take
“Tucked near Monterey's waterfront, Piccolo is a warmly-run Italian gem where expertly-crafted paninis and pastries pair beautifully with carefully-made coffee, all enjoyed at a leisurely pace with views of the harbor. The staff treats everyone like family, happily accommodating kids and creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both authentic and genuinely welcoming, whether you're stopping by for a quick latte or settling in for a leisurely lunch by the water.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Excellent views by the pier, inside and outside seating. Friendly staff. The cubano was really good. As well as the #2. Sandwhiches come with a side salad. Overall great place to try out.
Fantastic little place for lunch! We had the calabrese panini and the meatballs with garlic bread. Both were delicious, and the price was fair. We ate out back, outside, listening to the nearby sea lions and enjoying the sun. Highly recommend!
Highly recommended Italian sandwich shop on the Monterey pier! Excellent sandwiches made with quality ingredients and authentic flavors. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean and well kept. There are outdoor tables with an ocean view, perfect for enjoying…
