Crema's Take
“This Simpsonville gem feels like dining with family, where the warm staff and homemade food create an atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back again and again. While they specialize in approachable fare like sandwiches, salads, and their famous strawberry cake, the real draw is the genuine hospitality and generous portions that make even a quick lunch feel like a proper sit-down meal. Whether you're grabbing coffee and a bite solo or settling in with loved ones, Sweet Catherine's delivers the kind of unfussy, home-cooked comfort that transforms a casual visit into a cherished memory.”

11 Nov 25 update: I'll keep updating as Google asks me to. Still one of my favorite places. It's like eating with family. I love the food and I love the staff. Went with my sister for this visit. We were both stuffed after deciding to have a slice (slab) of cake. Any cake that Michelle makes is absolutely delicious! 09 Jul 25 update: Still a great place to eat and socialize. I absolutely love the staff here. Michelle has a real gem in this restaurant. Grandma Velma's trip is my favorite plate for a hot day. We had a shrimp plate with fries and slaw. Absolutely delicious! Bought a slice of chocolate cake and strawberry cake to take home for later. Best cakes ever!
Special thanks to Tina who did an amazing job servicing our table. This was my first visit to Sweet Catherine’s and couldn’t leave without trying the recommended Strawberry Cake! I’ll be back to try more of the menu.
Excellent little place for lunch with ample seating. When traveling I always have want try the home grown food. This place is amazing ! Fast and friendly customer service! Wide variety of lunch items. I have the pimento cheese burger and it was cooked to perfection. So tasty that I just had to eat it all! The fries were good, just the right amount of crispness. I was told they are known for their in house homemade cakes but I couldn’t eat another bite! Don’t forget they are only open for lunch!
This is a nice little place on main street. I arrived around 1145 on a Friday and easily found a table, however it started filling up pretty quick. Menu is mostly sandwiches and salads. I had the buffalo chicken panini with a side pasta salad. The food was terrific and the others that were with me said their food was delicious as well. Most of the people coming in were retirees, but it was a weekday. It's a simple menu and there's nothing fancy once inside, but the food was great! I'd return again.
This is a little gem in Fountain Inn. It's mostly sandwiches and salad but they are good. I got the turkey coleslaw sandwich and a side of broccoli salad. I think it may have been the best broccoli salad I've ever had. The sandwich was yummy too. For dessert I git the coconut cake. It was delicious! Very moist and satisfying. My husband got the sweet potato cake and he loved his also. Great lunch place with nice artwork on display on the walls. Be sure to check out the art gallery near by called " The back door." There are a nice variety of artists represented and all very good. See additional picture for the gallery.
