Sombrero's Cafe

A great local gem! Delicious horchata latte and authentic Mexican cuisine. Excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. Very nice family running this place. Also a great location to study / read, play PokemonGo (lot of stops and a gym!) or catch a little break from walking the downtown mall. Highly recommend! =)

My family and I stopped by on Sunday afternoon. Bernardo, the owner and his wife and daughter were very attentive and kind. The food is very tasty. We tried guacamole and cheese dip as an appetizer. My wife loved their coffee. The burrito bowl is so good. I loved the fact that they put just the right amount of seasoning to their meats. Over all we had a great time. Visiting from out of town and we walked by this cafe when someone told us they have the best coffee in cville. We came the next day and got the fresas con crema latte and an horchata latte and both were delicious. They make their own horchata in house. We would highly recommend this cafe.

I love Sombreros! This is the best place for quick, affordable and delicious breakfast or lunch downtown. Plus their lattes are better than some of the nearby coffee shops. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet.

A vibrant cafe and a wonderful addition to Charlottesville’s downtown mall. Fun drinks, food, and music permeate this space with a personality that is distinct amongst coffee shops in the area. Can’t get better service at a coffee shop on the downtown mall and the good vibes are infectious. Horchata is always recommended
