Crema's Take
“Perched in La Jolla, this independent spot blends coastal charm with thoughtfully curated food and drink, earning consistent praise for its elegant, flower-filled atmosphere that feels like a special occasion destination. While the kitchen shines with creative dishes like lamb smash and habanero fried chicken, the real magic happens in the room itself—regulars and first-timers alike are won over by warm service and an ambiance that makes even a casual Saturday afternoon feel like a celebration.”

The Lamb smash was incredible, the Cippiono was excellent, the lamb pot pie was good. The Illegal was good. The Mai Tai was ok and the Porch Pleaser was good. NZ IPA was good. Service on a Sunday night was tight, except for drink that showed up after the meal. Atmosphere was "self aware chic"
The food was pretty good. However the virgin margarita wasn't adjusted to taste good without alcohol so it had a really salty aftertaste. The atmosphere was amazing. Would love to come again once they get a new mochtail menu as the waiter informed us it was discontinued.
My friends and I celebrated Christmas at this restaurant this year. We were very pleased with everything – the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the decorations. I liked it so much that I celebrated my birthday there with my family! Thank you so much! We will definitely come back and I will recommend you to everyone!
First time visiting and we came on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM. This place is absolutely beautiful—so thoughtfully and elegantly decorated. My kids were obsessed with the flower aesthetics and kept calling it “fancy,” which made the experience even more fun. The food was just as fancy as the décor—delicious, flavorful, and fabulous with every single bite. I ordered the mimosa flight (three tall glasses!) and I highly recommend the lavender and pineapple. If I could do it all over again, I’d honestly get three lavender—that’s how good it was. It paired perfectly with everything we ordered. The kids had hot chocolate and loved it. We ordered one meal at a time, which probably wasn’t the best idea because the service was very slow. Next time, we’ll order everything at once. That said, the food is 100% worth the wait. We started with the New Zealand pot pie, which the kids loved, followed by a burger with potato wedges, and then the hanger steak and French toast—both are absolute must-tries. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely a place we’ll return to! Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.
Nov 2025 Love the atmosphere! Friendly servers. Good menu selections. My husband had a habanero fried chicken sandwich. He says it was delicious! Ihad a hanger steak & FF. It was prepared exactly to order: medium rare. The FF are shoestring cut. We shared an appetizer of Brussel Sprouts with a maple glaze and dried cranberries. It was very good and prepared differently from the usual pork belly and Parmesan served in most restaurants. Upbeat music played but not too loud. You could talk over the noise. Servers are fast, friendly & attentive.
