Wake Up Call - Union Distict Cafe
1722 E Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA
Crema's Take
“This Union District favorite roasts solid coffee at prices that won't break the bank, but it's really the creative signature drinks that steal the show—their Double Decker Mocha with peanut butter is the kind of unexpected flavor pairing that keeps regulars coming back. The space itself feels like a neighborhood living room with ample seating, a cool bar to perch at, and enough outlets and wifi to make it genuinely conducive to lingering with a laptop or catching up with a friend. Knowledgeable, consistently warm staff round out the experience, making this spot feel less like a transaction and more like a welcoming third place.”

Came in to pick up an order. The lady at the counter needs to learn customer service. We told her the name on the order she went into the back for a couple mins came back started making drinks. Didn’t look at us or say 2 words. Then she put another order on the counter to make a long story short our order was done the whole time. We even told her the name we were there for.
Wake Up Call has decent coffee, and their prices are a lot better than the big chain. This place is great for meetings, and the service is not bad. Sometimes it gets a little busy and then it seems a little slow, but most of the time it's just steady traffic. You would think that parking would be difficult, but street parking is free and there seems to be plenty of it. I like old buildings, and they dress this one up nicely.
Great coffee experience! Friendly, knowledgeable barista. Lots of syrup options. Peanut butter as an option! My wife got a Double Decker Mocha (comes with peanut butter). Wow! I got an americano with caramel syrup. Daughter got a hot chocolate. They also have local beer on tap. Awesome looking merch. Clean restaurant and restrooms!
Always super lovely staff, kind, courteous, and welcoming. The environment is clean, cozy, warm, and open—a great space to catch up with a close friend. I've been several times and always satisfied.
This is a wonderful location! Ashley is excellent and I appreciate her demeanor smiling eyes. Ample parking around the area and it is a BIG cafe. There is a neat bar at which you can sit. It has plug-ins near some of the tables to use for your laptop. Ambience is chill and welcoming.
