Jejes Coffee

Crema's Take
“Jeje's Coffee in Newton is a roaster-owner operation that's earned a devoted following for their exceptional pour-overs and single-origin Ethiopian coffees, with customers driving significant distances just to grab their beans. The shop strikes an uncommon balance between serious coffee craftsmanship and genuine warmth—reviewers rave about the cleanliness, generosity, and kindness of the owners, who've even gone kosher to be more inclusive of their community. If you're seeking coffee that's both technically excellent and emotionally nourishing, this is the kind of place that transforms a coffee run into a pilgrimage.”

I cannot say enough good things about Jeje's. Experience is simultaneously lovely, invigorating, tasty, generous, unexpected, provocative, comfortable, brilliant, opulent, delicious, and effulgent. The Care (capitalized intentionally) provided to the customer by the staff/owners is impeccable. Take the time to learn their story. Appreciate the specialty coffee as they do, and a world opens up to you that fills you with delight and purpose. It all happens as soon as you cross the threshold and you see that this is not just a convenient stop but a sturdy and life-giving labor of love. If you delight in mocha, as I do, you will accept your weight gain, having stopped here every day you can. You would delight in your thickness, having been buoyed by the sweet care and attention of what is the greatest coffee spot in all of the United States. Should you cross the threshold into this new world, you will not want to go to Starbucks ever again. You will, of course, because of its rabid convenience, and others, perhaps less knowing, will drag you there. But the latte will no longer sparkle and pop. In fact, anything mass produced will feel like a concession to a system that has never really cared about you or wanted what's best for you or invited you into a partnership of craftsmanship. And so bring me Jeje's, the best. Or nothing.
Absolutely the best coffee in Massachusetts. Their roast quality is incomparable. I drive half an hour out of my way every week just to buy their beans. Also they are extremely clean, which I am a huge fan of. They pay attention to every detail and even use RO water. Also the owners (who are the only people that work there) are the sweetest people you will ever meet. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
To be very honest, Jejes has one of the best pour-overs in the Boston area. We have excellent Ethiopian coffee, both washed and natural. The coffee is the true specialty and roasted by the owner themselves. We are honored to meet Soonhee and try her coffee ourselves. One of the menu items that blew our mind was their Affogato, rich vanilla iced with a beautiful espresso shot! Oh my gosh, that was an incredible taste. We hope to make a visit again in the future.
Enjoying my pilgrimage to Jeje’s Coffee. It’s delightful. The best coffee roasters in our region are also nice people who offer tasty treats to go with their amazing coffees.
Best coffee place - award winning roasters and award winning customer service too! They make great coffee and greats days. Apparently they went kosher just because they wanted to be inclusive of the entire local community - they’re very special people. Will be coming regularly.
