Day Maker Half Day Cafe

Crema's Take
“Day Maker Half Day Cafe is a genuinely warm gathering spot where the staff (especially the legendary Savannah) treats everyone like they matter, creating an atmosphere so welcoming that guests feel the difference the moment they arrive. Beyond the infectious energy, they're doing creative breakfast right—think Anita's churro pancakes and huevos rancheros that actually taste fresh and intentional—paired with both traditional and specialty coffee drinks that deserve your attention as much as the food does.”

This place is wonderful, great breakfast! Very cool vibes, and nice atmosphere! The food was absolutely wonderful got anitas churro pancakes and a huevos rancheros breakfast and it was delicious! This cafe has a full bar too in case you want a drink as well. I wish I lived near here cause I would go back in a heartbeat!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Savannah is INCREDIBLE. If this was undercover boss, she would be the one the audience would fall in love with. Every single host & server here made eye contact and smiled, everyone seems genuinely happy to be there. Food is amazing! We’re regulars at Kerby Lane, but this may be our new weekend spot now.
Phenomenal food and service! Would highly recommend checking them out. We tried their Pineapple Power Greens and Sunny Day juices, ate their Smoked Salmon Benedict, Migas Verdes, Snickerdoodle Donut Holes and Nilla Wafer Banana Pudding. Their juices are Natalie’s juices and so good. I’m not a pudding fan, but their pudding is incredible. Best brunch around! Eliana and Savanna’s service was fantastic.
Day Maker Cafe was such a cute and bright spot for our weekend brunch plans to get some food in our system and mosey around town. We rarely leave our Northwest Austin bubble, but to celebrate a warm and not so winter day, we knew needed to get out of the house, and hubs found Day Maker as a good spot to get some fuel in ourselves before we signed up for a hike down south as a family excursion. Service from our waitress was extremely friendly, prompt and attentive. She brought us the in-house hot sauce, a virgin Bloody Mary that rocked my socks off, and OJ. We loved our entrees, I went for a cauliflower rice bowl, kiddo got himself the Mac and cheese and devoured it all, and hubs got the Day Maker classic. All of this was fresh and so well made, we can’t wait to return. The color and murals all over made it such an inviting and fun Austin mood, and we look forward to brunching here again when we’re in the Zilker proximity!
It’s a popular spot, so we had to wait quite a bit for a table, especially on a Sunday, but once we were seated, everything moved pretty quickly. The food was genuinely delicious and tasted really fresh, and the service was warm without being over the top. Prices felt pretty reasonable for the area. The space itself is clean and inviting, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. Overall, totally worth the wait, and I’d happily come back.
