Crema's Take

This beloved coffee truck near L'Enfant Plaza serves up genuinely excellent Colombian coffee alongside hearty breakfast sandwiches and egg bites, all crafted with real care by owner William and his hardworking team. Beyond their espresso-focused drinks, don't sleep on their chai and cold brew—reviewers rave about the quality and consistency that rivals sit-down cafes. It's the kind of spot that becomes part of your daily routine, where the combination of stellar coffee, thoughtful food, and genuinely warm service makes even a quick morning stop feel special.

Very good coffee. Extremely good breakfast sandwich. Above that, really hard working guys who care about doing a great job. Got my morning coffee and breakfast here every day while staying in the area.

Delicious Colombian coffee, such a treasure to have this truck in L’enfant area (right next to Exit A, 7th and Maryland). Cold brew, iced coffee, chai, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and egg bites, they have it all! Super friendly service and really fair prices, you get so much more for your money and way better quality than Starbucks. Highly recommend!

Sometimes it's easy to ignore food trucks, but don't just walk by District of Columbia Coffee. Right by the L'Enfant Plaza Metro along Maryland Avenue SW, long-time D.C. resident William brews quality coffee from Colombia that's roasted locally. He takes pride in sourcing ethically sourced and quality beans. If coffee isn't your thing, he also sells perhaps the best chai I've ever had. Married to someone of Indian descent, they simmer fresh chai every morning for the food truck and it's GREAT! It has ginger in it, so it has a little bite, which makes it unique and refreshing. They also sell pastries and egg bites if you're hungry.
