The Yard Bird Tavern
5209 N Market St, Spokane, WA
Crema's Take
“The Yard Bird Tavern is a beloved neighborhood bar in Spokane's Hillyard district where genuinely warm bartenders pour quality drinks and craft creative hot dogs with flavors like Memphis and Chicago—all enjoyed on a spacious back patio that doubles as an outdoor karaoke venue. It's the kind of place where regulars and first-timers alike feel welcomed instantly, and locals rave about the homey vibe, solid beer selection, and the fact that you can grab a "Kerwin special" (plain dog, whiskey shot, and a beer) without anyone batting an eye. This is where you go to feel like you're part of something real.”

Awesome small bar with a great vibe. Really glad it's so close to us. Great hot dog flavors. We got the Memphis and Chicago. I'll do the Kerwin special next time (plain dog, well shot, and a beer.)
Hidden gem!!! Some crazy fun dogs for a great price. Service is on point too. Can’t wait to go back. Ate the food so fast I didn’t get pics so i guess I’ll go back asap
OUTSIDE KARAOKE AND AWESOME HOTDOG MENU!? I feel like I don’t need to say much more. This great little bar located right in Hillyard is ran by one of the best bartenders and people that I know! You’d be a fool not to visit! That Memphis dog has to be one of the best hotdogs I’ve ever had 🌭 🔥
The bartenders are so sweet as soon as you walk in the door. The space is cute and feels homey. They also have a large back patio area. I ordered the popper hotdog it was delicious, we also had some chili cheese fries! I would definitely come back again!
Let me tell you about The Yard Bird Tavern in Hillyard. First things first best bartender in town treats the regulars and wannabe regulars like gold from the first second you walk in. Beers is always ice cold crispy classics in can as well as some local bangers on tap. There is no debates on the $14 Kerwin special which comes with a hot dog a Rainier and a well shot as the best glizzy special in all of the town. I have been stuck on the Popper speciality dog which is cream cheese bacon and jalapeño cooked to perfection bringing so much joy to a Polish fat kids heart every time. Come for the special stay for the exemplary service from Spokane’s best bartender. Oh also they are doing the best dive bar trivia on Wednesday nights now too. Support your local dive bars. — feeling grateful.
