Crema's Take

Loxsmith Bagel has earned serious devotion from Portsmouth for their exceptionally fluffy, generously topped bagels that strike a delightful middle ground between traditional New York style and something uniquely their own. The kitchen takes their craft seriously—whether you're grabbing a classic herb asiago or a towering sausage egg and cheese on sesame—and they quietly offer thoughtful vegan options like nut-based cream cheese for those who ask. It's a family-friendly spot that's become an instant favorite for the breakfast and lunch crowd, with the kind of quality that even NYC bagel lovers are willing to get excited about.

The best bagel I have ever had. crunchy outside and a soft fluffy middle. I have never had a bagel quite like this and it is for sure the best I have ever had a worth the wait. You can tell they are fresh and made daily. The cream is sour and not my fav but the bagel is too good to not come back for more!

The Getty Bagel, is a very cute little bagel shop. My family and I got the herb asiago bagel and a plain. Both were super delicious, but the asiago and herb was my favorite. Never been to a bagel Cafe with so many options for cream cheese. For the asiago we got maple bacon cream cheese, and the plain just plain cream cheese. The bagels are super fluffy and crunchy at the same time. Highly recommend getting a unique cream cheese. They are so good!

Great addition to the Portsmouth breakfast scene (and now lunch-although I haven't gotten to try that yet). The bagels are a little more fluffy than NY bagels, but they do not joke about the toppings. The everything bagels are excellent and packed with flavor. Their schmears are creative and tasty. The bagel sandwiches I've had have also been really good.

I’m so glad they started doing hot sandwiches because sausage egg and cheese on sesame is my favourite at any breakfast place, but Getty's version might be my new top location. Two layers of sausage and extra cheesy, it took a while to make, because it was pretty busy, but it was 100% worth the wait! I also tried it on asiago, but still prefer the sesame, although the seeds get everywhere. I also highly recommend the Rosemary Salt Bagel with any savory schmear! So far the schmears I've tried have been sundried tomato basil, carmelized allium, cardamom currant, miso paste, and olive, which is my favourite:) I tried the Fourth of July Toasted Marshmallow drink, which was really good! The interior is aesthetic and bathrooms are always clean. The bagels are fresh and flavourful. I recommend getting there before they sell out for the day. Prices are good too- the bagels are cheaper than the cream cheeses, so I recommend getting 2 bagels and one cream cheese because there is plenty of cream cheese.

one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had and I live in NYC !! They have vegan cream cheese (nut based) & vegan butter but they do not advertise it. Thank you for having dairy-free options!! I got the rosemary salt bagel - delish, and the pickled red onions were incredible. The iced latte was also great. I will be back!
