The Boredom Cafe
435 Market St, Pittsburgh, PA
Crema's Take
“Tucked away near Market Square, this downtown Pittsburgh spot strikes that rare balance between serious specialty coffee and genuinely welcoming atmosphere—their single origins and pour-overs are prepared with real expertise, but the space itself invites you to linger without pressure. The team clearly knows their beans inside and out, from thermal shock processing details to helping you pick the perfect bag to take home, and they pull consistently excellent espresso drinks with that smooth, fresh-baked quality reviewers keep coming back for. It's the kind of place where whether you're after a quick quality cappuccino or settling in with your laptop for the afternoon, you'll feel equally at home.”

Nice warm and welcoming space. My girlfriend really enjoyed the strawberry matcha and my espresso was very good. Nice smooth brew and frothy. I would often visit if I spent more time downtown and parking in Market Square wasn’t such a hassle.
Whether you’re looking for a casual morning beverage and a seat, or some premium single origin coffee, Boredom Set is the prime oasis for you in downtown Pittsburgh right now. The superb and helpful barista your guide in their generally calm and spacious seating area. A curated menu of high quality drinks are offered, featuring irresistible seasonal flavors which the staff often make themselves. Most notable of all is the variety of absolutely premium coffee beans offered. Boredom set collaborates with other organizations in order to provide product with honey process, carbonic maceration, and other advanced techniques, all properly roasted and from distinct locations. The fact is, you won’t find this amount of quality and mastery of coffee anywhere else downtown.
This is a very neat coffee shop! They serve very high quality coffee here! Their latte and drip coffee were amazing! Highly recommend!
A very well-prepared pourover (they had a thermal shock bean!) There are also a variety of specialty beans for purchase and the staff is very knowledgeable, helping you pick out the beans. Wish there were more food options.
The reviews did not disappoint. Excellent atmosphere tucked in the side near Market. Nice grind cappuccino with the freshness equivalent of baked bread. Slightly dark cocoa aftertaste and not bitter.
