Zoka Coffee

Crema's Take
“Zoka is a buzzing South Lake Union hub where Amazon employees and neighborhood coffee lovers overlap, creating an energy that can feel either welcoming or overwhelming depending on when you visit. The baristas craft solid espresso drinks and creative specialty beverages like matcha tea, though service consistency seems to dip during peak hours when the crowd thickens. If you're seeking a reliable spot for a quick specialty coffee and don't mind the corporate-adjacent vibe, it's worth a visit—just maybe aim for off-peak hours to catch the friendlier side of the team.”

Don't come here M-F unless you're an Amazon employee! This is basically an Amazon office cafe since employees get a free daily drink, so if you are coming in as somebody off the street you will not enjoy the experience. Most times of the day there is a line wrapped around lobby, the coffee is just ok, and the food options are lackluster. With that said, the baristas here are working their butts off and likely doing 2-3x the normal volume of a coffee shop with no tipping options, so give them some grace.
Front of house refused to sell me coffee beans on display because the barcode was not in their POS system yet. This is while they are selling fresh cups of coffee with no barcode. Ridiculously liberated “barista” was adamant that the bag could not be sold refused to accept $100 in cash for the inconvenience of giving her manager $20 for the bag. Can’t make this stuff up.
Below par coffee. And Baristas are so rude. Dont know how amazon allows them to operate. I ordered a drink and asked them instead of 2 pistachio shots add only one. the barista is like i cant do that i requested still No. they are never be nice on cashier table too.
Nice place to get coffee and specialty beverages in South Lake Union. Coffee and chai are good and hit the mark. Staff is generally friendly but may not be welcoming during rush hours due to crowd from socialization/coffee chats of employees on campus. Limited selection of sweet and savory pastries which are okay.
I might be biased because I work in the building and I get free coffee here as an employee. But these guys are great. The staff is super friendly and nice. They have so many options to choose from, they have different kinds of milk, coffee, tea and matcha as well. They carry a good amount of sugar free syrups to choose from as well. I really do customize my drink a lot and they do it perfectly. There is some seating available, I usually have never seen it full as people take their coffee and leave. Highly recommend!
