Crema's Take

Istanbul Cafe And Bakery is a warmly hospitable Denver gem where the staff genuinely delights in guiding you through their homemade Turkish pastries and traditional breakfast spreads like sucuk and eggs—expect generous samples and enthusiastic recommendations from behind the counter. Beyond the coffee, this intimate spot captures something increasingly rare: a place where attention to detail and authentic recipes trump mass-market efficiency, making it perfect for lingering conversation over both specialty drinks and light meals that taste like they're made with real care.

I ordered the Sucuk & Eggs, which was tasty enough that it didn’t need any sauce to be added. There is a beef sausage that is served with the eggs, along with a baguette, which you can make a mini sandwich out of. I ordered the Turkish Coffee Service, in which they serve espresso, a Turkish delight (Rose Flavor), and water for palette cleansing. The espresso has a dark chocolate taste at its core so if you like dark blends, this is the spot for you. The Rose flavored Turkish delight was smooth and chewy, but not to the point where it sticks to your teeth. Very good for only $0.75 more! And of course, you have to get the Baklava’s!

Cannot say enough great things about Istanbul Café and Bakery! We were immediately greeted and given a rundown of each food case and the menu with even a few offered samples to help us make our choices. The portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the quality and freshness of their pastries is incredible. HIGHLY recommend the tahini çorek. We will be back, these women run a beautiful establishment!

This small gem is totally awesome! In a world filled with mass market chain, restaurants repeating the same thing over and over, here you will find love and kindness in all their homemade goods. Traditional Turkish coffee and Turkish meals among other delights are all incredible and you should definitely come here to eat breakfast or lunch. It's definitely worth the trip.

This place deserves the high rating it has. It's so lovely! The lady behind the counter gave us all kinds of samples to try and explained all the food to us. We had the börek and a doner baguette (the bread was amazing!) as well as some pastries and Turkish coffee. Get the "service." Its such a fun little fancy treat for less and $1 extra. I want to come back again and again! Highly recommend!

The food is delicious and the service is awesome. They gave us a bunch of free samples before we ordered and the food was just awesome. The portion sizes are normal, not too big. The people working here are very nice. This place filled up very quickly at lunchtime and the people working here are hustling fast to get everyone's orders out on time. We loved it here and would absolutely come back. Parking is free - there's a lot outside. There is indoor seating, but no outdoor seating right now (February).
