First time visitor this past weekend. Very small but very cute shop. We were there during kind of a busy rush on a Sunday morning, but it was quiet afterward. Lots of families coming in - many to buy their tamales! I only had a latte (which was great), and my friend had the breakfast burrito which she said was delicious. Plenty of beautiful, vibrant pottery for sale here too. Support small business!
My partner & I absolutely loved this coffee shop! We had the chorizo & potato burritos, which were delicious, & we loved the coffee. The girl working there was lovely to talk to & had a very welcoming manner. I also purchased the cutest pottery mug!
I’ve mostly enjoyed Three Bees for a few months of eating and drinking there. The employees are generally kind, the food is served good and hot. The tamales are usually yummy (come earlier in the day for higher quality / more freshness), and they have vegan options. The green salsa is delicious and fresh. They aren’t usually out of stock of items until later in the day- and even then it’s not super common, so I maintain patience, and try again because I like the kindness of the employees and understand that tamales are a process to make. I hadn’t had any sort of memorable negative experience until I went this past weekend for breakfast. I ordered, paid, (and tipped) a barista I hadn’t seen before, and she failed to inform me that the tamale plate I had ordered was out of stock until AFTER I had already paid, tipped, and sat down to get comfortable. It is standard practice to know your inventory as a server, AND communicating this with your customer, especially when you are out of food, BEFORE processing payment and leading your customer to believe that they are getting the food they are paying for. I’ve worked several restaurant jobs, and I’ve never charged a customer for food before letting them know that we were out of stock. The barista did offer a refund, which I appreciated, but it was a pretty careless move that can be easily avoided with care, knowledge, and awareness of your job. I can understand being out of stock, which is not ideal, but to not inform your customer, communicate, or check, before paying, is not acceptable. The barista had long black hair, and I highly recommend that any manager be aware of this unacceptable mistake. Again, it’s one thing to be out of food, but it’s unacceptable to allow a customer to pay and tip you for food you don’t have, which could easily be avoided, simply with awareness and communication.
It is a cute little cozy coffee shop! I was looking forward to eating tamales con frijolitos and reading my book. I went early in the morning. I was disappointed when I was told the food I wanted was not available :( I settled for a Tres Leches Latte. It’s decorated beautifully with the Mexican inspired pottery.
The whimsy starts as you walk up - the ivy growing up the building invites you into this cozy space! The warm vibe inside is only made better by the smiling faces that greet you as you enter. We enjoyed the limited summer latte menu, and we LOVED THEM! The baklava latte hit the spot and the breakfast burrito was superb! There’s even locally made jewelry and candles inside for sale. The decor and Mexican pottery made the atmosphere so special. If you’re looking for a local spot to enjoy fresh tamales 🫔 THIS IS THE PLACE. We don’t live close, but this was worth the drive, can’t wait to return to this hidden gem!
