Kearny Mesa Deli

Amazing staff and service in the least expected place. I went to get my car serviced at the Tesla center in the morning, needed food, found this place nestled amongst the car shops. The breakfast sando was good but the big standout was the staff, the (I assume) owner talked with me when I was interested in his variety of Lays chips which I know sounds silly and small, but it meant a lot to me in the early morning.

A little place around the corner with great sandwiches and great customer service. I was impressed! Much better than all those big brands out there.

Want an amazing sandwich come check place out. Talk about hidden gem! Just because it’s tucked away you don’t wanna miss it! Amazing service and the owner is awesome!! he does catering as well!!! Do yourself a favor and get a sandwich from the sandwich stop deli.

I have had three sandwiches there ...and all have been great!!!! good amount of meat for the price. perfect flavor balance, etc etc. sandwiches have a lot of shredded lettuce....or more than I typically see on sandwiches. basically, it hits what I want in a deli sandwich. while it's more than I typically eat (I get small sandwiches at the chains), I don't feel "full" even though I have eaten more. the bread is light/fluffy, and a good share of veggies....which might be part of it. again, just a perfect/great deli sandwich. As for price, compared to chain stores ..about the same for the sandwiches and I think you get more. no fountain drinks, so no refills. but they do have a significant drink and chip selection. The chips and drinks can add up. somewhat small location, and as I understand it, slammed for breakfast. only been for lunch, and my lunch is at 11m, so no idea what it's like at lunch hour. they do typically pick up around the time I'm leaving. of you want a good deli sandwich, you have to stop in and try one.

I work for an animal clinic and all of my co workers recommended this place. I had the cheesesteak and added jalapeños and banana peppers and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Coming from the east coast it’s hard to find cheesesteaks that live up to my expectations but they exceeded them. Super sweet people and plenty of beverage and chip/snack options
