Crema's Take
“Parker-Lusseau is a beloved Monterey bakery where the almond croissants are genuinely legendary enough to spark love affairs, and where their pastry mastery extends well beyond the croissants to quiches that guests call the best they've ever tasted and custom cakes that outshine local competition. The line moves fast despite the devoted crowds, and whether you're grabbing a quick financier or settling in with a fresh croissant and coffee, everything tastes like it was made this morning—because it was. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where families and pastry pilgrims alike keep coming back, drawn by the uncompromising quality and warm, straightforward approach to doing one thing exceptionally well.”

Parker- Lusseau made our wedding cake, and it was outstanding! When we did our cake tasting we tried samples from here and from one other local shop, they didn’t even compare. Parker-Lusseaus cakes were so fresh, moist and had real ingredients. With one quick planning meeting, our wedding cake design was decided and drop off to our venue on our big day was seemless. They are professionals and their cakes are delicious!
Loved this place! I tried the croissant, financier and the mushroom and leek quiche. All of which were delicious!!! Everything is fresh. The line goes quickly.
We came to this bakery because I read about their pastries. Particularly, about their almond croissants, and how incredible they were. If you're driving through, do make sure you stop to try both the almond and the ham and cheese croissant. They are truly spectacular. Something special and hard to find. I was disappointed to see how snobby? Annoyed? everyone behind the counter was. But I guess when your food is so good, that's a luxury you can afford.
Everything was incredibly delicious! The goat cheese quiche was the best I've ever had!
Once upon a time, a love affair began with almond croissants. Specifically Parker’s almond croissants, and you’ll understand once you sample those, but— things moved forward past small pastries in our relationship. We elevated to birthday cake last year (The Experience) and this year “The Tropique”. We’re at a celebration point where I feel that if I were to get cake from another place for my Aunt’s birthday, we’d have some unhappy people (myself included). Also, try their quiche. Roasted tomato goat cheese is superb.
