Crema's Take

Cafe Airlie feels like that neighborhood spot where the owner genuinely knows your name, serving up serious sandwiches like a standout chicken parm on hero and fresh Italian subs that locals rave about with real conviction. Whether you're grabbing a quick wrap and clam chowder before catching your train or settling in for a slower breakfast, the warm, welcoming vibe matches the quality of the food—think Cheers, but with better lunch options and a genuinely cool owner behind the counter.

I ordered lunch for delivery today. A turkey and bacon wrap with let, tomato, mayo in a spinach wrap. And a New England clam chowder soup. Im telling you I've not had a fine lunch like that in a long, long time. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and plenty of everything. It was absolutely delicious. Well done Cafe Airlie!

I love Airlie’s. I go here occasionally to grab takeout. They have the best chicken parm sandwich I’ve ever had. I always get the chicken parm on a hero because it’s my favorite, but they have other tasty sandwich options (according to my coworkers). The owner & staff are friendly as well. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever in the area!

Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!

This sun-shined Street, is seconds off of Broad street Newark. Cafe Airlie is like walking into Cheers (The 80’s TV show where everyone knows your name). The owner/ manager is the friendliest person. Calling everyone that walk in by name. I soon felt like I was eating breakfast in my living and talking with my family. Everyone one that came in seems to interact. It really felt like home. The breakfast platter was yummy. Yesterday I had a chopped salad. Checkout their menu. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Shop local. Eat with friends or family. This cafe was clean and had spacious seating. The staff was friendly. Come on in.
