Summer Moon Coffee

Stopped by Summer Moon this morning to try out a new coffee spot, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The quality did not match the price we paid for two 20oz simple cold brews. The flavor options were not listed anywhere on the menu. When we asked the barista about a specific flavor, the response made us feel as though we shouldn’t have asked in the first place. After that awkward interaction, we asked for recommendations, but the guidance we received wasn’t very helpful. To make matters worse, customers who ordered food and drinks after us received their orders before we did. There didn’t seem to be any communication about the delay until they called the order out: “sorry for the wait”, which added to the frustration.

Great winter moon coffee! If not a sweet tooth person, get it 50% or 75% sweetness! They are also started a collab with “honey & salt” for a halal menu (see pics)!

I kid you not, it was so cold in this location that my breath was showing. I thought I was hallucinating seeing fog in front of my eyes, but no, the person who I came with confirmed it. Other customers were studying with their coats on so maybe it’s a normal thing? They play the music so, so loud at this location. I had to ask twice for them to turn it down (loud rock music) and each time they looked at me like I was insane— didn’t apologize, just said “yea” and then gave eachother looks before swiftly turning their backs and turning it down, like, one notch. A bunch of friends (?) came in but maybe they were starting their shift because I saw them go behind the counter. They entered quite literally hooting and hollering: “YOOOO WHATS UP DUUUUDE AYO IS THAT MY GUY AHAAA” kind of yelling. Everyone in the cafe was just staring at them. I love a culture that promotes a fun work shift. But have respect for the fact that you work at a cafe, not a club. Turn the music down. Also, retrain your employees on the recipes because the other Summer Moons actually taste right :/

Summer Moon is a fabulous place to meet friends or go work at. I had a seasonal coffee called the Pecan Pie latte and it was soooo yummy!!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Summer Moon Coffee—welcoming and relaxed. Ordering was easy, and everyone at the counter was super nice, especially Shelby. I don’t like my drinks overly sweet, and she took the time to ask detailed questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Because of that, I ended up with a drink I truly loved. I would definitely go back again!
