Crema's Take

Nestled in Charlottesville, this is a warm haven where tea lovers and curious sippers alike gather for curated loose-leaf selections, matcha, and thoughtfully paired wines in a genuinely charming space with cozy indoor nooks and an inviting outdoor balcony. What sets it apart is the genuine hospitality—regulars return Sunday after Sunday for the welcoming staff and the sense that this place cares about creating memorable moments, whether you're sharing a tasting flight with friends, hosting a company dinner, or simply settling in with an Earl Grey and a homemade pastry. It's the kind of place that feels both sophisticated and unpretentiously family-friendly, where the focus is on quality beverages and real connection rather than rushing you out the door.

Ethos Wine & Tea is such a lovely establishment. Everything about my experience there with my family was positive. There were so many tea options to choose from. We selected Earl Grey Supreme and Turmeric Ginger. Both were wonderful. The scones, sandwiches, and cupcakes were all fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with great music playing softly enough to enjoy and still carry on a conversation. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

Also awesome as an event space! We held a company dinner here and the staff was incredible! They had an AV setup, and even had a private chef who could accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions. Unbeatable price, will do again for sure.

I have been to Ethos Wine & Tea, three Sundays in a row, if that tells you how much I adore this place. Kendall always welcomes us with a smile. The non-alcoholic tasting event exceeded all expectations. The selection of non-alcoholic wines is more than I've seen at any other place in town. My only rec: more fig jam on the panini. Looking forward to bringing book club!

We LOVED this place! We got 2 wines and 4 teas to share at the table, the vegan & and gluten-free chocolate cupcake, and the Calamasi Tart, all of which were delicious. We even bought 4 bags of loose leaf tea for home, 3 bags of the mint and 1 bag of the rose tea (one of the mints and the rose are for me, and the other two bags of mint are for my parents and sister). The staff was very kind and attentive and gave us recommendations for local wineries to try while we are in the area. The cutlery/dishes were gorgeous along with the rest of the place; there were beautiful murals on practically every wall and matching decor. Loooooooved it, thank you!!!

Absolutely charming! Delightful atmosphere with cozy indoor rooms and an outdoor balcony. We went for after dinner drinks. Options for dinner, after dinner drinks, light fare, dessert, or tea and one could make an outing for almost any price point. The prices were unusually low for such a lovely wine list. Perfect meeting spot for drinkers and sober patrons alike as they offer a lovely tea list. We had a date night of wine and ( gluten free !) cupcakes and snacks and we will be back with friends!
