Vale Matcha & Coffee

Crema's Take
“Vale Matcha & Coffee strikes an appealing balance between coffee and matcha in a clean, modern space where baristas like Greg clearly care about their craft. While opinions split on whether the matcha lives up to its Instagram appeal, the espresso-based drinks earn genuine praise for quality, making this a solid choice if you're after a well-made latte in a pretty, unhurried setting.”

Great great great coffee!!! I was very satisfied with my latte, it tasted so good and Greg the barista was very nice guy. The corasont was disappointing, I went with the chocolate corasont and is was a bit sour, beside that I had a good experience
I’ve never understood the hype around matcha- I’ve tried it a few times and have always come away feeling like it just tasted like a $10 wet lawn smoothie. However- my crew stopped by for coffee after wedding dress shopping in Seattle. There was a tasting bar outside that had a few samples- including the banana matcha. That sample convinced me to order a 16oz banana matcha with cold foam- and I happily drank the whole thing. I feel like a convert! The golden glow (that my maid of honor ordered) was also really yummy too. Such a cute space- will definitely visit again!
Vale Matcha & Coffee is a nice spot with a clean, modern vibe. The matcha and coffee are both solid, but nothing really stood out as amazing. My drink was good, just a bit mild and not as rich as I was hoping for, especially for the price. Service was friendly, and it’s a good place to stop if you’re nearby, but it didn’t fully wow me. Overall, a decent spot for matcha or coffee, just not a must-go. ☕🍵
this place is so pretty don’t get me wrong, I just couldn’t get behind the drinks here. I got a matcha latte w/ oat milk and to me it just tasted like kinda bad oat milk? maybe I just don’t drink oat milk often enough and that’s what it normally tastes like but this didn’t hit for me. it kinda reminded me of expired graham crackers for some reason? maybe something to do with it being on tap instead of whisked but something was off for me. it seemed promising from the color and the reviews I saw online but unfortunately I won’t be back for the matcha, might give their coffee a try though since it seems like a good place to study! I just don’t think any of the matchas w/ other flavors (strawberry, banana, etc) will work to hide what was off putting for me in the plain matcha.
I swear I got targeted on social media. It showed up as a sponsored ad on my feed, so naturally I went to google to vouch for it. Photos of the matcha was what intrigued me. Another plus point was that it was a 15 minute-ish walk from Pike Place. The shop is vibey. There’s a cute body-length mirror for selfies. The shelves are full of hipster snacks. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Menu: they offer 4 sizes, so prices will depend on the drink size. The oat matcha latte is a go-to of mine. It was really good here. The banana matcha latte was mixed already, despite the photo showing it not mixed. I am not an expert on matcha, but I didn’t like that there were questionable solids at the bottom of my hot matcha latte (with whole milk). I’m inclined to think that this means they handled the matcha improperly. Bad technique, no sifting? WiFi available No bathroom (that I saw) Indoor+outdoor seating available Credit card/Apple Pay accepted
