Crema's Take
“This cozy South Tampa spot excels at the art of the leisurely coffee date, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes lingering over a cup feel like the whole point. Their house-made pastries are genuinely worth the trip—think doughy chocolate chunk cookies with gooey centers, buttery croissants with just the right chew, and croix donuts that have inspired devoted regulars to return again and again. The staff's genuine friendliness pairs perfectly with quality traditional and specialty drinks, making this the kind of neighborhood café where you'll want to claim your favorite corner.”

Not to be dramatic - but the chocolate chunk cookie is one of the best cookies I have ever had! Especially for someone who likes their cookies on the doughier side, the inside was nice and gooey with plenty of chocolate. I can't speak for their other flavors because I only tried this one, but the base looks the same so I'm sure they're also incredible. I also got the Nutella donut (yummy too) and iced caramel macchiato (asked for extra caramel and vanilla syrup to make it sweeter). Outside seating is dog friendly (just no dogs inside unless they're a service dog). Would definitely come back here
Nutella donut is pretty good and the butter croissant is on the chewy side than flaky which I didnt mind I think its a good pair with the hot chocolate. The place is really cozy and inviting with all the chirstmas decoration.
I finally made it to The Chef & The Baker on S. Manhattan Avenue after one of my best friends raved about their croix donuts for months ~ and wow, it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warmest front desk representative, Lisa, and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Rosana. Both were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made the experience feel special. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. My Café con Leche was perfectly balanced and delicious, and the iced vanilla latte was just as good. We tried the homemade Cinnamon buns, a plain sugary croix donut, and the Nutella croix donut ~ each one unbelievably fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. We also grabbed a baguette to go and ended up trying it in the car on the way home… it was delish! You can taste that everything is genuinely homemade. The café itself is adorable ~ cozy and inviting. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu. This little hidden gem definitely lived up to the hype! I recommend this spot!
I got to know of this place because of InKind promotions. I won’t be back here. They don’t have a kitchen. Everything is pre made and heated up upon order. The baked goods are not the European style that I personally prefer. They are very dense and heavy. The presentation of the food is good and that’s just it. The food is overpriced for heat and eat stuff that you can buy at Aldi’s that will taste much better.
We had a great visit. We were greeted with a friendly acknowledgement as we entered and she was extremely kind in answering our questions and helping us make selections from their delicious looking pastries. The Nutella croissant was delicious and can’t wait to try the others. The drinks were great and we enjoyed drinking them in the lovely dining area. Highly recommend.
