Jubala Coffee
8450 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh, NC
Crema's Take
“Jubala has earned its loyal following with genuinely exceptional espresso drinks—think campfire mochas that rival the best you've had—paired with an impressive breakfast menu where the bacon and pastries are worth the trip alone. The North Hills location has become a beloved gathering spot for both quick coffee runs and longer conversations over lattes, though expect a crowd and some ambient noise that comes with its popularity. The friendly staff and welcoming vibe make it worth timing your visit strategically, especially if you want to linger over one of their creative specialty drinks.”

I’ve been a customer since this location opened, and overall the drinks are still excellent and the bacon is honestly the best I’ve had anywhere. That said, it has become very crowded, and the wait time — especially in the first 15 minutes after opening — needs improvement. I placed a mobile order 20 minutes before opening and walked in right as the doors opened. Despite checking in immediately (and again 10 minutes later), I watched multiple in-person orders get made ahead of mine. I ended up waiting about 15 additional minutes. What impressed me, though, was a staff member who noticed the issue, paused the in-person line, and reorganized orders by time placed — without needing to escalate to a manager. That level of ownership and awareness is exactly what great service looks like. A couple suggestions: • A small discount for veterans, first responders, and nurses would likely increase long-term loyalty. • Managers and owners frequently occupy several customer tables for staff meetings. With how busy this location has become, having those meetings elsewhere or in a dedicated space would help free up seating for guests. I’m happy to update this to five stars if these operational improvements are addressed. I truly want to see this place continue to succeed. Also I like a Taylor swift song or two ever now and then but this seems to be a long term track being played for several hrs when I have been working there. Variation to the music and keeping it fresh again could not hurt. Some plug in fly devices would help as well.
Met with an insurance partner at Jubala in North Hills to talk collaboration over lattes and big ideas. If you’re going to build relationships, this is the kind of place you do it! It was packed. Standing room energy. Conversations buzzing everywhere. Somehow we still found seats, settled in, and had one of those focused, productive talks that really moves the needle. The lattes were excellent. Smooth, balanced, and strong enough to keep the ideas flowing. No rush. No attitude. Just good coffee and a team that knows how to handle a crowd without losing their friendliness. :-) Jubala in North Hills isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s a meeting place. A think tank. A launchpad so to speak! We’ll be back for the next round of big conversations! ☕️
It was busy even on a Wednesday morning. The campfire mocha was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It’s a bit expensive, but absolutely worth it.
While visiting Raleigh I luckily stumbled upon Jubala. Friendly and welcoming staff, the best pumpkin spice latte and a biscuit with raspberry jam. I had to go back the next day to get it again!!
My daughter and I decided to check this place out while we were waiting for one of our cars to be worked on. The atmosphere is nice, but really loud. That's probably a catch 22 since it means they're popular, but it was just too busy for us to enjoy the atmosphere inside. They do have some tables outside in the front and the back though, so that was helpful. They had a decent selection of coffee and tea drinks. My daughter got the Mocha Latte iced and I decided to try the Almond Latte with Almond milk. They were both very good, just a bit too sweet for my liking. So next time I'll have to ask for them to make it less sweet. My daughter wanted to try their Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit to see how it compared to others she's tried. She said the flavor was pretty good, but the biscuit was weird. She said it was akin to the texture of a Bojangles biscuit but sweet like a scone. So it would've been better with something like peanut butter or jam.
