Ground Hideout Coffee
356 E 4th St, Long Beach, CA
Crema's Take
“Ground Hideout Coffee is a beloved family-owned Long Beach spot where creative seasonal drinks like honey pistachio and cookie butter lattes steal the show alongside exceptional pastries like brown butter banana muffins and breakfast biscuits. The cozy, walkable space cultivates genuine connection—owner-operated service means you're likely to encounter the same passionate people who crafted your drink, though experiences vary depending on who's behind the counter. This is the kind of place people return to again and again, even from out of state, for that specific flavor combination they can't stop thinking about.”

This is my favorite coffee shop in Long Beach, and every time I visit CA (I live in Las Vegas) I make it a point to come here. I think about the honey pistachio latte I had on vacation 2 years ago at least once a week. Their food is amazing and everyone is so nice. This place is a gem.❤️
Great coffee, horrible customer service!! The older lady is very passive aggressive and has terrible customer service.i walked in at 3:10pm and ordered several drinks but had and issue with my bank regarding payment. The only reason I had to pay with debit card was because after 3pm they don't take cash. To me that doesn't make sense, but anyways while I was trying to figure stuff out with my bank, the older lady kept giving me looks and made me very uncomfortable. She even went as far as to pressure me to pay because according to her they were about to close. They close at 4pm there was still plenty of time. She even went as far to say "I'm not going to make them until you pay" There wouldn't of been an issue in the 1st place if they took mobile orders or phone orders . They never answered the phone anyway to explain this. I walked in and nobody greeted me . I felt like very unwelcome. My wife and her coworkers usually visit but I will strongly advise not to in the future. Last time I visited their espresso machine was down for maintenance and I know it's out of their hands but I wished I would've know before driving 10 miles to order . It's just very inconvenient. Overall, it's a cute small coffee shop and a family owned small business. We gotta shop small but they must work on their ethics. Thank you all P.s their cooking butter latte is to die for !
Really delicious breakfast biscuit and brown butter banana muffins. We had the orange cardamom latte and the seasonal cookie butter latte. Both were fantastic. The owner was serving us and was so attentive and interested in whether we liked our order. Highly recommend!
Stopped by this spot on my way to look for some delicious coffee & breakfast. They did NOT disappoint. Tried the collagen coffee & the breakfast burrito - both hit the spot easily. The staff are also super sweet! Super cute interior! I’ll be back!
A family owned business, with great quality food & drinks (some of my favorite bevs too), a cozy atmosphere and fantastic service. 10/10. So happy I found this walkable Long Beach gem. To walk in and see the family who owns the shop working together was the cherry on top (mom, dad and daughter). What’s not to love?! - great food, I want the sourdough turkey Panini - Honey pistachio latte was amazing - plenty of indoor & outdoor seating
