Crema's Take
“Cafe Calaveras brings vibrant Mexican heritage to Seattle's coffee scene with a warm, colorful space that celebrates Latinoamericana culture in every detail. Their creative specialty drinks—like the beloved horchata iced lattes, Iced Mexi Macha, and Matcha Con Amore with ube foam—showcase inventive flavor combinations that go beyond typical coffee shop fare, and the genuinely welcoming baristas make every visit feel like catching up with a friend. This is the kind of neighborhood spot that feels like a gathering place, perfect for lingering over a cold brew or matcha while soaking in the joyful, inclusive vibe.”

We live right near here and always want to try new places and this cafe did not disappoint! The atmosphere is warm, bright, and inviting with bright colors and wonderful smells. We tried all of the tacos and they were all good! We also tried a breakfast melt and the sourdough was delicious. The drinks were beautifully made too!
Cute little Mexican themed Cafe open until the early afternoon. The vibe is warm and welcoming with Mexican heritage on display everywhere you look. I got an iced Mexi Macha and it was delicious. The service was fast and warm and friendly. I definitely want to come back and try some of the food items.
I was stoked to find that what was once a little coffee pop-up trailer on the pier had opened a brick n mortar shop. This is a Latina owned cafe with fabulous Latinoamericana influence in the design, art, colors and more. Plenty of seating and plugs for remote workers. The coffee is always good—I recommend the Marzipan Latte. They have some small breakfast options too. I’m happy to see a business opening up in Yesler Terrace neighborhood.
This cafe was so warm and inviting. We walked in and immediately noticed the predominately BIPOC patrons. We got the Matcha Con Amore and Bidi Bidi Brew Brew. Honestly- best matcha in town. Ube foam was beautiful and full of flavor. It seems like a very dog friendly place because there were these little cuties running around! The plants, big windows, cozy seating and outlets everywhere make it a great place to lock in and do some work. We’ll definitely be back!
