Crema's Take

This converted firehouse is as much a cultural hub as it is a coffee destination, hosting world-class jazz performances and repertory theatre alongside expertly crafted lattes and house-baked pastries that locals rave about with genuine enthusiasm. The eggnog lattes and scratch-made paninis draw a devoted crowd to the bright, comfortable space, while the gorgeous back patio and convenient corner location near the bus stop make it equally ideal for a solo work session or catching up with friends. It's the rare spot in Bellingham where you can linger over a perfect croissant before catching an intimate jazz trio performance in the same evening.

Hands down one of the brightest gems in A&E venues in Bellingham. Huge supporter of live, world class Jazz, and repertory theatre. Offers variety of community classes as well. Fabulous in house baked goods, beer/wine offerings, as well as coffee/tea. You won't go wrong in your support of the Firehouse.

The Firehouse event center hosted a performance of the Jeff Hamilton jazz trio yesterday. The trio, of course, was outstanding. The event center is intimate, comfortable, and acoustically solid venue to showcase musical talent. Kudos to Bellingham Jazz Center for bringing in this A list trio at this outstanding venue.

My Firehouse Cafe visit was 5 ⭐ I ordered the ham and swiss panini, an eggnog latte, and a blueberry custard croissant/danish, and every single bite (and sip) was delicious. The ham and swiss panini was perfectly toasted with just the right balance of savory and cheesy goodness. The eggnog latte was the ideal seasonal treat—rich, creamy, and full of festive flavor. And the blueberry custard croissant/ danish? Simply divine! The crispy, flaky croissant, sweet custard, and fresh blueberry flavors were the perfect combination. The service was top-notch as well—friendly, attentive, and quick. It’s clear this place takes pride in creating both a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional food and drinks. I also appreciate that they open earlier than most places in town (for those of us that are early risers). Oh, and my puppy got a pup cup and a Milkbone treat. I highly recommend the Firehouse Cafe.

Along with the “Firehouse Cafe” servings divine coffees, scratch made soups & sandwiches, the Firehouse Arts & Events Centre is a lovely addition to our neighbourhood! Firehouse supports and presents all types of music, events etc. We especially enjoy the Jazz events and are excited to experience the upcoming Finnish Film Festival!!!

The Cafe on the corner is just the best. The location is incredible, as it's on Harris and right next to the bus stop. They have plenty of seating inside, a gorgeous and relaxing patio out back, or you can just walk up to the window on the sidewalk if you're trying to catch a coffee and a bus! My Airbnb was right next door by their Repertory theatre, so I found myself ordering 2 delicious Americanos and a freshly baked bran muffin each morning. The staff is wonderful, and you'll find many locals here gathering each day to visit and sip, play some guitar, or just hang for a while. Wonderful establishment, and I highly recommend you stop here! You'll thank me afterwards!
