Crema's Take
“This vibrant St. Louis spot brings authentic Cuban-inspired flavors and quick-service efficiency together, with standout hits like their ropa vieja sandwich, guava pastries, and a café con leche that keeps regulars coming back. While opinions on their takes on traditional Cuban dishes vary, the generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service make it a gem for those craving bold, flavorful breakfast and lunch in a welcoming atmosphere. Their espresso-focused drinks and cold brew options pair perfectly with the food, making it ideal for a specialty coffee experience with real personality.”

Okay, so not what I expected the food was great but the Cuban Frita was not “ a cuban frita” but a basic American sausage sandwich with frita topping’s and not chorizo. As a cuba-rican chef from Miami I was not very impressed with this imposter frita. Taste was good anyhow. However, 10 points to Gryffindor, for the shift manager saving us from an unhoused debacle that was taking place in front of the door when we arrived. 😅
Cafe Miami is a vibrant restaurant offering flavorful dishes inspired by local and international cuisine. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and the service friendly and attentive. A welcoming spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, perfect for enjoying a relaxed and satisfying meal.
The café con leche was really good. Maybe slightly too sweet. The hoagie was alright but lacked a little flavor. The All 3 lacked a lot of flavor, seemed to have been missing a sauce. Bloody Mary was pretty standard. The gooey butter cake was really good. The employee at the register seemed a bit irritated that i couldn’t decide fast enough.
Yesss! What a gem! The ropa vieja sandwich is delicious!! The pastelito was really good as well! The texture was perfect. Guava might be my favorite pastry filling. I'm going to go back and try the coffee next time. The people working were so nice.
Food was all delicious, decently cheap, and super quick! The everything breakfast is a MUST, the frita cubana breakfast was also decent (the spicy mayo is very good). Guava pastry was wonderful as well, and so was the café con leche. Must go!
