Blanchard's Coffee Roasting Company

Blanchard's coffee beans are excellent. I have tried three different bags in the last month and I am really impressed with the quality of the coffee and the roast.

This is the freshest coffee you can buy in Richmond. I always buy beans online and the grind for a pour over. You can tell how incredibly fresh the coffee is by the CO2 foam released. Also the concept of sourcing the beans is the way business should be conducted.

Simple atmosphere. I got a mocha latte, and my friend bought a thermal mug and a coffee. The latte was amazing. I’ve been craving another one since I finished it. They also serve it with a side of sparking water.... which was also somehow very good. My friend’s coffee was good. They even cleaned her thermal for her and placed the coffee in it. She is a slow drinker, but we got the coffee at 2 on and her coffee was still warm (with help if the thermal) at 9 pm. I do wish they opened earlier so people going to work could grab some coffee..

We went for one of their monthly brew classes. The incredible smell of fresh coffee greeted us at the door!! The facility is accessible for everyone and there was a nice sized group of folks in attendance. The employees there are super friendly and knowledgeable! They explained the pour-over method of brewing coffee in great detail and each employed a slightly different method. They answered all of our questions... even the ones unrelated to the method they were teaching. They had all of their coffees and brewing equipment on sale so you could try what you learned at home. We love their coffee and bought a bag of their whole bean "Handshake". We are definitely going back for their next class!!!

Blanchard's is the best coffee roasting company in Virginia! Extremely knowledgeable staff that continuously raise the bar and expectation for what good coffee should be. Their community events brings their expertise to the common citizen that not only educate the people on good coffee but also how good coffee should be made.
