Crema's Take
“This Richmond institution trades sleek modernity for genuine nostalgia, though recent visitors note the classic atmosphere that once charmed guests is shifting in ways that feel a bit off. The breakfast menu hits harder than it misses—think perfectly cooked eggs and French toast done right—though quality can be inconsistent, especially with sides like undercooked potatoes or overly dry meatloaf. What keeps people coming back is the straightforward friendliness, easy parking lot access that's a rare gem in Richmond, and reasonable prices that make it feel like a neighborhood gathering spot rather than a destination.”

I used to love the traditional atmosphere there. Now, not so much. The floors do not have linoleum. Everything was clean, so it is not that at all. The food and service was excellent. I had a club that filled me so much I needed a box. The ladies were so friendly. Each of them communicated with me. I'm definitely going back, I'll just have to get over the naked floor.
I ordered Crab Benedict with a side of fired potatoes. It looked beautiful but my potatoes were under cooked and possibly not real. My eggs were cooked perfectly but the most important part was the crab cake which was Unfortunately artificial; all breading which ruined the taste of the entire dish. It is blk owned so I had to support.
This is the worst meal I’ve had! The meatloaf is dry and hard as well as the cornbread! When I called to speak to the manager to at least get a refund, they’ve left for the day and they don’t do refunds. My family and I will not return! $25 gone down the drain
Reasonably priced with plenty of food and good service for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Had French toast with 2 eggs, bologna and fried apples. The bologna was unexpectedly thick and delicious and eating the fried apples was like eating an apple pie without the crust. Meal was reasonably priced.
The parking was easy with a decent sized lot in the back, which wasn’t very common in Richmond. We got there pretty early so there was no wait. The people were friendly and the service was great - my coffee mug never went empty! The chocolate chip pancakes were perfectly fluffy and the bacon nice and crispy.
