Crema's Take
“This Woodward & Cass corner spot has become a beloved weekly ritual for regulars thanks to its genuinely welcoming staff and aesthetically pleasing space that feels like a natural gathering place. The pastries here are clearly made with real care—customers rave about everything from chocolate-filled cacao muffins to spinach ricotta Danishes—and the espresso-focused coffee program delivers solid cups alongside thoughtful specialty drinks and even gelato. It's the kind of place where you feel the love in both the food and the hospitality, making it perfect for a leisurely sit or meeting up with friends.”

The cacao muffin was absolutely delicious!! It came out warm and had this fantastic chocolate inside of it, which I didn’t expect but was pleasantly surprised. I also loved their hot drip coffee, it was fresh tasting and they had plenty of cream for me to add! Really beautiful interior too, I was really pleased by the whole experience! Will definitely be back. So much better than red hook or any other coffee shop nearby…. By a long shot. Hope to see them around forever!!!!
Coming into the building was just amazing overall, The workers greeting you as you come in, Each pastry cooked to perfection, you could taste the love put into each treat, drink, and gelato! 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to Detroit for the first time
Qargo Coffee on Woodward & Cass is a lovely, aesthetically pleasing spot that’s become part of my weekly routine. The staff is friendly, the vibe is inviting, and the coffee is good (though the mocha with coconut milk is a bit sweet for me, even with half chocolate). What really keeps me coming back is the cheddar and crisp sandwich—made with turkey bacon instead of pork, which is a unique and welcome change compared to other places in the area. Add the convenience of the location, and it’s an easy favorite. UPDATE: 11/1/25 Qargo Coffee on Woodward & Cass has completely made my coffee experience. It’s such a lovely, aesthetically pleasing space with a calm, welcoming vibe—definitely one of my favorite Midtown spots. I come here a few times a week (but that’s my business 😄), and the staff has always been kind and attentive. After my last review, they actually recognized me and went out of their way to offer a complimentary coffee—such a thoughtful and personal touch! That kind of service really stands out. The drinks are consistently good, and I appreciate that they take feedback seriously. The cheddar and crisp sandwich made with turkey bacon instead of pork is still my go-to—it’s unique, delicious, and something you won’t find anywhere else nearby. All around, great people, great atmosphere, and great coffee. Qargo has definitely earned its five stars!
I ordered a medium decaf coffee with oatmilk. It was good and reasonably priced. I also ordered a spinach ricotta Danish. I did not like the Danish. The pastry was a bit sweet, it did not have enough filling, and had a weird metallic flavor.
The food is amazing, the staff is so welcoming. They have a variety of items on the menu, the energy drinks and the bagel egg and cheese sandwich is delicious. The staff offered us a sample of the new coffee they were trying to add on the menu as well as a sample of their pizza and rigatoni lunch menu that they will be adding hopefully this year because it was so flavorful and delicious! The environment is calm and pleasant and the staff is kind and friendly!
