Crema's Take

Nestled in Detroit, this roastery-attached café excels at both traditional espresso drinks and creative seasonal syrups like orange cardamom, while their knowledgeable baristas elevate the experience beyond standard coffee shop fare. The space strikes an ideal balance for lingering over a pour over or quick meetings, with excellent pastries like cinnamon rolls and waffles complemented by an impressive selection of loose-leaf teas and coffee supplies that invite curious exploration. It's the kind of place where you might pop in for a latte and leave with Michigan goods and small-batch finds you didn't know you needed.

Great place for coffee, tea, scones and they even have a few delicious waffles (dine in only). My favorite tea is the La Marche Spice so far. When they have orange cardamom syrup it works well with their earthy chai and almond milk.

Very nice coffee and I had a cinnamon roll which was decent. Alternative milks available. Very good latte. Nice staff. Coffee shop is attached to roastery and they sell ground coffee, coffee beans, nuts, coffee equipment, honey, spices, candy, ceramics and tea.

Very cute coffee shop, great coffee. They also have a great selections of leaved tea, small coffee and tea supplies, even spices. Baristas seem very knowledgeable and had great recommendation. Only minus is not a lot of seating areas, so keep that in mind in case you’re planning to sit down.

I stopped by Germack while visiting Detroit for a company meeting. I ordered a latte, and my colleagues tried the chai. The order was handled professionally and quickly, and we all agreed that the drinks were quite good. It’s a charming little place with a warm, welcoming feel to it. My time there was pleasant, and I’d consider it a good place to enjoy a warm drink.

My friends and I stopped in for a quick coffee and baked good before setting off for the day. The coffee was brewed fresh and the shopping fun began in the store picking up a few Michigan goods and smoked salts. This coffee shop has a little bit of everything from the beans to spices. Stop by and enjoy the smells!
