Crema's Take

Loaf + Vine positions itself as a casual all-day café with full breakfast and light food options in a slow-sit environment, but reviews suggest the execution falls short of the pricing, with customers consistently disappointed by overpriced sandwiches ($12-18), stale pastries, and inconsistent service ranging from genuinely accommodating to surprisingly dismissive. The coffee itself receives particular criticism for poor quality, leading some reviewers to recommend competitors like Salty Doughnut instead. If you're seeking a neighborhood spot with genuine warmth and attention to detail, the mixed experiences here suggest looking elsewhere for your Austin coffee discovery.

What a joke. $12 BEC on English muffin + $6 to put on bagel $18 ?! Are you serious? Looks like a Dunkin sandwich all premade

I read the reviews before coming here, and unfortunately, the man who said the woman who he asked to cut his sandwich in half acted like he had killed her from doing so. She must still be employed because I had the same experience and unfortunately for $45, every item, a smoothie, cold brew, egg burrito, and chicken breakfast burrito we’re absolutely terrible. After the first bite into the burritos and first taste of my smoothie, I wanted to ask for a refund. Take the time to go anywhere else because this city has too much good food to be eating here.

Unfortunately, the lady working at noon on Saturday, April 13th couldn’t have been more cold. Asked her to cut the sandwiches ordered in half and she acted like I ruined her life. Wouldn't recommend due to poor service.

Coffee was terrible, disappointed to have spent $18 for 2 horrible tasting iced coffees and a danish that tasted like it was 2 days old. If you want GOOD coffee drive extra and try the Salty Doughnut!

I had great customer service. Waitresses went out of thier way to give me table in the area I wanted, accommodated me with my petty requests to use different glasses, and were overall respectfully and professional. Atmosphere is fun, clean, and definitely relaxing. I've tagged this location as one of my Austin favorites.
