Cafesphere
25 E State St, Media, PA
Crema's Take
“Cafesphere has earned serious loyalty in downtown Media with their genuinely excellent coffee and a rare combination of warmth and competence—Maggie and her team are known for going genuinely out of their way to accommodate customers. Beyond the standout espresso drinks, their chai tea and matcha offerings are distinctive enough to keep regulars coming back, and the beautiful, spacious setup makes it equally comfortable whether you're settling in with your laptop for hours or meeting a friend for a quick catch-up.”

I echo Anusha's review about what happened that day. Like always, Maggie and her staff go above and beyond to be accommodating to their customers, even with matters outside of their control. They are a team class act and very solution oriented. If you are looking for a great European style cafe to do some work, catch up with a friend, or have a small group meeting, Cafesphere is ideal. Seating can sometimes be at a premium, but that shows how popular Cafesphere is with the community. Most times, there is an available seat or you can share a table with someone else. That's true European cafe culture at its finest! For those who don't want a friendly and accommodating atmosphere where service is spectacular, this is not the place for you. Those who want to falsely complain and not recognize their own bad behavior will also likely not enjoy Cafesphere. For those who like these things, stop in for an amazing coffee and a great bite to eat. You may also make a new friend. What else can you ask for?!? This is the perfect blend of European ambiance and Media community. If you want to make a new friend, I'm the one who usually orders a skim mocha. Looking forward to meeting you!
I just saw the negative review left by someone and feel compelled to respond. I’m a regular customer and I was there the morning that this person is talking about, so let’s be honest about what actually happened. Complaining that a small local coffee shop was busy at 10am on a weekday is wild. It’s basically complaining that they are successful. There is a reason they are that busy. The staff is always cheerful and friendly, they work incredibly hard, and the drinks are consistently made to perfection. Locals love this place for a reason. What you left out is that the owner personally brought you and your friend extra chairs so you could sit near the children’s play area. You then stayed there for over an hour chatting during peak hours, which is the very thing you are upset about other customers doing, even rolling your eyes at them. The irony is hard to miss. If a thriving cafe full of happy customers feels like an inconvenience, maybe the issue is not the seating, but the expectation of having a quiet, empty shop on demand. Small businesses being busy is something to celebrate, not criticize. I love this place and will continue to frequent it for everything it has to offer!
We had such a wonderful cafe experience yesterday! The coffee is absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and simply perfect! Staff is super friendly and accommodating. What makes this place even more special is the cozy kids’ play corner, which makes it so neat and much more relaxing for parents. Our kids loved it ! We ll be definitely coming back. Highly recommend!
If you’re anywhere near downtown Media, do yourself a favor and stop by Cafesphere. It is hands down the best café in the Philadelphia suburbs! The chai tea is incredible, perfectly spiced and comforting. The cake pops are fresh and delicious. Every visit feels welcoming thanks to the exceptional customer service. The staff consistently go above and beyond to create a warm, community-centered atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, with cozy couches and seating spread across three levels, so there’s always a spot to settle in whether I’m meeting friends, working remotely or just relaxing. The bathrooms are spotless, which says a lot about how much care goes into the entire experience. One unique feature is the adorable kids’ play area, where little ones can pretend to run their own café. What a creative touch for families! I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and she is truly wonderful. It’s clear she hires with intention and heart, which is reflected in every interaction. A true gem in the heart of Media. This place is a must visit!
Beautiful place with great customer service! If you’re nearby, please visit—it’s in a great location close to other stores, perfect to enjoy alone, with friends, or family. They have an amazing space that surprises you as you walk in. Keep exploring inside and you’ll discover different areas to enjoy on multiple levels, and if that’s not enough, they have a sweet deck where you can enjoy the view. Don’t miss the chance to grab a spot and relax! The coffee is awesome and the desserts too! Definitely coming back.
