Crema's Take
“Decent Detroit is a thoughtfully curated neighborhood gem where the owner Leo hand-selects single-origin coffees and rare blends you won't find elsewhere, paired with genuinely welcoming service that makes you feel known. The calm, studious atmosphere in this emerging Detroit pocket attracts a mellow crowd of laptop workers and readers rather than a rush, making it an ideal quiet refuge for focused work or lingering conversations. What sets it apart is the real care behind the counter—Leo's passion for quality products shines through in every cup, whether you're ordering a precise pour over or just a simple, delicious drip coffee.”

Leo is great! He always has a good selection of coffee that you can't get anywhere else, and the hot tea is good too. He's friendly and all about offering a quality product. Highly recommend Decent Detroit.
Their hot drip coffee is delicious! I was served a single origin Ethiopian blend. The barista was very welcoming! The atmosphere is really nice, I saw people in there studying, reading, and chatting. One of the best drip coffees I’ve had! Stop here and you won’t regret it!
A lone cafe in the middle of an empty/emerging neighborhood. Very intriguing. Definitely caught my attention. It is a nice spot to do some work or study. Doesn't have a large crowd when I was there. Free wifi. Good coffee and good service Food option needs some improvement. Sandwich looks nice but it is expensive for the portion size and taste like Walmart sandwich. Bake goods looked kinda old when I visited too.
I came from out of town to pick up an order in Harper Woods and decided to find a coffee shop to sit down and work in while I waited. I don't always leave reviews but I had such a wonderful experience here. My oat latte was made with a very high quality espresso (the kind that coats your mouth with rich flavor). The ambience was perfect: very light lounge music that allowed room for focused work or light conversaton. Enough seating and chairs, with outlets throughout and good Wi-Fi. Even the clientele were cool. Parking was not hard to find in the area: lots of room for parallel parking up and down the streets. Would love to come back.
Cute little coffee shop properly named as it has decent coffee. They use Mad Cap beans, which I like, but my oat milk latte was warm and my "light foam" request ignored, so again, decent service. Will try again, hopefully a little better next time.
