Wildroots Coffee
500 E Morehead St, Charlotte, NC
Crema's Take
“Wildroots is a vibrant, intimate Charlotte spot where creative specialty drinks like their PB&J latte and rotating seasonal menu are the main event—expect no mobile ordering, but you'll get genuinely kind baristas and a groovy atmosphere that makes lingering worthwhile. The espresso-focused menu balances traditional classics with bold, signature creations that locals rave about, and the small storefront with outdoor seating becomes a welcoming gathering place for both coffee explorers and regulars seeking something beyond the usual.”

I love Wildroots! The decor is fun and cool, the staff is always sweet and welcoming, and their specialty drinks are consistently a hit. One small warning for my fellow alt-milk people: I’d avoid the watermelon seed milk in coffee. I tried it when they were out of oat milk. On its own, it was okay (I sampled it first), but it just didn’t pair well with coffee in my opinion and ended up ruining the drink for me.
Wildroots located in the office building is a convenient spot for workers and visitors alike. While the space is quite small, they also have additional seating outside of the storefront. 60s groovy, Powerpuff girls and girl power vibes.
Loved coming here, the atmosphere is wonderful, the people behind the counter are very kind, and the coffee tastes amazing. I had a PB&J latte, nothing I’ve ever tried before, and it was incredible! They had a valentines menu out and honestly I highly recommend just chatting up the baristas and getting their recommendations. Huge shout out to the twee inspired New Girl esque Zoey Deschanel lookalike who got my order. You’re amazing!
My favorite coffee shop in Charlotte. You cannot mobile order, but they make up for the lack of convenience with delicious, creative lattes. The best part is the rotating menu. It always keeps you guessing and gives you something to look forward to. The employees are all very sweet and energy is very welcoming. I have tried ever coffee shop in Charlotte at this point & I keep coming back to this one over and over again. Even if it’s out of the way. If you love a fun drink do yourself a favor and come here.
Went here this past weekend and tried the candy cane drink .. sooo good! def will recommend the drink itself to others. as for the baristas it felt off. no greeting when you walk in the door, waited there for 5 mins to be acknowledged and to order my drinks which is ok but straight to what would you like .. then when i got my drink i said thank you so much have a great day and they walked away. doesn’t seem like the most polite staff but the drinks were good! maybe will try out the other location.
