Crema's Take
“Tucked into Richmond, this apothecary-inspired sanctuary blends coffee and tea with hands-on perfume workshops that turn a casual visit into a multisensory experience. The 1920s Parisian aesthetic isn't just decoration—it's the backdrop for thoughtful, knowledgeable staff who guide you through everything from aromatic tea assortments like their Inca Hots blend to creative signature drinks. It's the kind of place where you linger, learn, and leave smelling like something special.”

I took two perfume classes here...and boy! They were exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Creative, sensory, and thoughtfully guided, it made the world of perfumery feel both accessible and expansive. The two instructors — Tricia, the owner of Apothec and Heather, the owner of Naked Goat Soap Co. — brought such genuine passion and generosity to the experience. You could feel how much they care about what they’re building and sharing. The atmosphere was relaxed and inspiring without feeling overwhelming. I left with two fragrances that I am genuinely proud of — and a renewed curiosity to keep exploring. I’m already looking forward to the next session. Thank you Tricia and Heather!!
My wife and I recently attended a perfume workshop class at Apothec for Valentine's Day and I was thoroughly impressed. The class was educational, fun, and my wife and I left with scents that we will actually wear on a regular basis. The class was less than a week ago and I have already recommended the class to a few friends.
Went for tea with friends at Apothic today. What a great space, knowledgeable staff, & the menu gave a full range of aromatic tea assortments. I actually tried the Inca Hots which was Cacao, Ginger, & Cayenne! Just the right about of heat to improve my circulation in this winter seasons!
The most dreamy shop with the most exquisitely beautiful interior design and decor. You truly feel like you’ve stepped into Paris in the 1920s. The aromas of the store and all their products are so pleasant and inviting. Usually I find modern fragrances noxious and off putting, but these scents are delicate and sophisticated. The cafe part is so lovely as well! They sell lovely teas and deliciously unique baked goods like Persian love cake and spiced fig cake. Their teas are divine. This is absolutely my new favorite spot in Richmond. Cannot recommend more.
If you wanna have a unique experience where you create perfumes, will you sample different teas and a really cool environment come here. If you're looking for a cheap experience, this is not the place but stuff look like quality. They are Cary Tea and they even have some iced teas on tap so they have a sparkle to them.
